| | | | | |
This site has now become my ART 199 final project. I thought this would relate to the class I created this site for the sake of individuality...for mines and others. It has some of my personal creative writings here and the theme is "Pure Imagination"....this song from Willy Wonka is about tapping into your imagination and being yourself, and how that will enhance your quality of life .
So ENJOY!!!

| It's been a whiiiilllleeee... | 3:22 PM | |
| | | | | |
Okay! I'm BACK ON IT!
I'm serious this time.
really.
Don't believe me?
Fine
I don't care.
Be like that.
LOL! Anyways, I'm off to COLLEGE!!!!! Whoo! In like 3 weeks i'll be moving out! This summer has been great. I've got an incredible boyfriend, my man and favorite radio broadcaster in the whole world...Terence! So it's been great :P
Okay here's a few things. I've tried watching the new season of Rock Star: Supernova. I'm sooooo disappointed. Skip all that "less screaming, more screaming" stuff...it's more like "less talent, more crap". Everyone is so mediocre on the show. I gave up on the 3rd episode. It's a shame. I might ease my Marty drought by buying a ticket to see the Lovehammers at the Canopy club at UIUC. Sounds good lol.
So instead of watching that I've moved on to The One: Making a Music Star. It was a bad show, but it was funny and entertaining. This week I was looking to watch it...and I got TREATED. They straight up pulled the show off air. FUNNNNY. It's like that Celebrity Cook-Off show they had with Ashley Parker Angel on it. Hehehe
So I'm basically screwed as far as tv is concerned. I only watch my soaps, All My Children. My man JR with his unpredictable self is a lot more entertaining than some of the stuff now. Sad state of affairs.
Ok that my ranting for now. hehehe catch ya'll later.

| The JACKET (Mwa ha ha ha!!!) | 12:28 AM | |
| | | | | |
I know. It's about time for an update.
I just got done watching The Jacket with Adrien Brody in it. You know I was really excited to see it because I am never disappointed with an Adrien Brody film and this one was NOT an exception. I think I'm becoming a fan of his! He is so unique and puts so much emotion into a part...it makes me feel for him with every character he plays. I've seen The Village (not a good movie but a good character that he played lol), King Kong, The Pianist and this latest one...all great portrayals.

Anyways, I love the subject...mental illness and insanity. The movie was reeeeaally trippy...dealing with all sorts of issues...death, time, love, belief, reality/fantasy, corruption, life...it was deep, trippy, and entertaining. Hahaha and I thought Butterfy Effect was trippy! LOL
Welp I'm off to put The Jacket on my fanlistings lol.
Ummm, right now I'm feeling okay. Not content though, and not happy really. Only cuz...I dunno it's getting closer and closer to the month were I will be taking that road out of proviso east and a bit of insecurity is creeping up on me. I NEED TO GET OVER IT!! (now that I've let that off of my chest lol)....no, but seriously, I'm kinda having a general onset of mixed feelings of...i dunno, fear, insecurity, uncertainty, jealousy...and I know I shouldn't have them, but I can't help it. That's life, I supposed. I just feel that, in general, I'm BEHIND everyone else. I feel that everyone is speeding past me and I'm kinda stuck...concerning life, in general. I think it's a little bit of High School Syndrom...I need CHANGE. But with Prom approaching, and I don't know WHAT i'm gonna do for that...eh, add stress to that list of emotions too lol
Theres another rant, update laterz

| Tennessee!!! (Libertybowl) | 10:06 PM | |
| | | | | |
Okay, well I had fun for the most part at Tennessee. We stood out in the RAIN for 2 hours at least for a 5 minute parade. LOL I mean seriously, the parade ended after 2 songs. I gotta tell you, having East and West combined is something else. We, PTHS Band, sound like a college band.
But anyways, each day almost we had a practice for the libertybowl. For some odd reason, we were the ones IN THE BACK. LOL It was kinda funny. Our band was pretty mixed up with all the other bands but we were still in the back of the whole thing. Our dancers got moved TO THE BACK. And our "silver" flags, guess what?, were alllll the way in the back. that's just funny since we were the only black band there lol.
Of course, after one of the practices, we had to make a grand exit so the drummers lined up and started playing as the other bands were leaving. Now usually, that signals everyone that we are ready to battle. But everyone there, I don't think they do things like that LOL Everyone looked at us crazy. They thought we were good of course, but they didn't understand why we were playing for NO reason. They just looked at us and was like..."Err...yeah! Go PT!" LOL It was still fun though.
The practices were annoying. We were backing up the Beach Boys and I NEVER want to hear "Surfin In The USA" or "Be True To Your School" EVER again. THey had some 6 year olds in the front doing the 60's dances and stuff, it looked so funny.
The hotels weren't all that great. I've been in better. New Years Eve, we were supposed to go to a "party" with ALL 20 bands. We got there, I thought the food was terrible. And as far as the "party" was concerned, they played the SEINFELD THEME SONG! I was like "Oh hell naw" LOL People were doing the chicken and the bunny hop. And to top it off, they had set the PTHS tables ALLLLLL the way in the BACK of the place lol. Everyone from East and West was looking at the dancefloor like O_o. LOL Me and my friends decided to check out the scene and make the best of the night. After all, it WAS New Year's Eve. I mean, those people started MOSHING. The only place I've ever seen anything REMOTELY similar to moshing was the Marty Casey rock concert lol. I've never seen it on a dancefloor. LOL Neither have most of the band. But me and my friends just went with it. We were standing on the outskirts of the party and some dude was looked at us and said (screamed rather), "I KNOW MAN! I KNOW! JUST GO WITH IT! JUST GO WITH IT! YAAAAAHHHH!!!" And he flipped his collar and went into the crowd.
O_O
LMAO So that's what we did. They started playing the Cha Cha slide so that helped a little. THere was NO ROOM to do any movements. It was like "Two hops this time!" *suddenly you're THRUSTED forward* "Cha Cha, now ya'll" *suddenly you're thrown back and forth* LOL
They played the Macarina (sp?) and the black people in the crowd made their OWN bunny hop train LOL So I just joined in LOL It really was just a big train that thrusted people left and right, it was crazy. Then when they started playing Jagged Edge, the party started getting interesting...juking and all of that...until the dj said, "PTHS BAND, YOUR BUS IS LEAVING." So then I had to weave my way out of the crowd and BOOK! LOL
It was ONLY 10 o' clock!!
We went to the hotel and they said we couldn't get out of our rooms. LMAO YEAH RIGHT! Mr. Wright and Mr. Atcher had another thing coming if they thought they could contain TWO bands on NEW YEARS EVE for the rest of the night. When 12 o'clock came, EVERYONE ran out of their rooms and started running the halls screaming LOL " O SIX! O SIX! O SIX!" Hilarious.
Annnnd then of course, we drank up the night. It was funnnnnn. Even though the party was wack, it was a fun experience.

| The Xmas story (more jello shots lol) | 5:17 AM | |
| | | | | |
Okay, so we had dinner, and we went over to visit some relatives. And it was tame for a bit while we played Spades and pool and stuff. Then they brought out some jello shots and it got a lil tipsy in there. lol It was crazy LOL And nope I didn't have any cuz I'm an
...*cough cough* So we left after that and opened presents. I got a lot of books...lol...a lot. LOL But they are good though, i finished one already about improving one's writing abilities. I haven't gotten into the habit of writing every day and that book is giving me a "boost" in order to do it.
Christmas DAY we just chilled out, played cards, watch movies...ect. And today me and the family went to see King Kong. Surprisingly it was actually pretty good!!! It was funny, but good. I love my guy Jake in the movie...he's played by Adrien Brody. I pretty much love everything he's been in. The Pianist was a masterpiece...ahem..but anyway. King Kong was great, not for the special effects but for the intentional and unintentional humor lol
So that's that!
